Nyikina nganka Yimardoowarra
Nyikina nganka Yimardoowarra was launched at the WANALA Conference in Broome on 5th September 2014. This is a whole language program, with 3 levels and 200 activity modules, for the Nyikina language.

The Nyikina language is spoken by the Yimardoowarra, people of the lower Fitroy River valley in northwest Western Australia.

There are fewer than 50 speakers of Nyikina.

  WANALA Conference workshop
A small template based program resulting from a workshop held at the WANALA Conference in Broome 2014.

There were participants from 6 language groups in the workshop. This sample shows the work of the Yawuru group, whose country is around Broome, in the northwest of Western Australia.
